Infant Respiratory Vulnerability
Infants breathe up to three times more air per pound of body weight than adults, and their developing lungs are exceptionally sensitive to fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and secondary chemical emissions. Setting up a nursery requires a strict non-negotiable air cleaning protocol.
The Nursery Rule: Under 25 dB & Zero Ozone
Pediatric sleep guidelines recommend background sound levels remain below 30 dB at the crib. Furthermore, air cleaners used in nurseries must be 100% mechanical True HEPA only—all ionizers, UV lamps, and plasma features must be completely absent or disabled.
